I have a 29-gallon aquarium with angelfish, , and three other smaller fish. I have had this for several years and am getting tired of the blue gravel I have in there. I was wondering if it is safe to put lighter color gravel in, or should I not ever change the gravel at all? And if it can be done, what is the safest way to do it? Thanks.

As many rocks are normally white in color, pea gravel is also commonly available in white shades. Pea gravel can mostly be found in off-white colors, as it is likely that some gray-colored pebbles will find their way into the pea stone mix. White pea stone pebbles may also be mixed with other pea stones colors, such as gray, brown or even black. This mixing gives the pea gravel a more interesting look, especially when it's used for walkways or driveways.
