Omega Paw Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball

Our Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix playing with the Omega Paw Tricky Treats Ball Dog Toy.
This is without a doubt the BEST toy Rory has received in a long time. It is called the from Omega Paw and I cannot begin to describe how impressed I am with its design, philosophy and durability.

To begin with the Tricky Treat Ball is what is referred to in the pet industry as a ‘brain toy.’ Now that is not because it looks somewhat like a brain, but rather because it forces your pet to think. Punctuated like a little moon with substantial craters, the ball has one opening where you place within it your pet’s favourite treats. Your pet must then nose it around until the treats fall out one by one.

Keep your pooch challenged and focused while playing with Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball. This toy can give your canine required exercise. It's made of a vinyl textured surface that makes it easy for your dog to grip while digging in for treats. This ball can be filled with your canine's favorite kibbles. It's safe to play with and gives your dog ample excitement. It is available in small, medium and large sizes. In contrast, the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Balls are much quieter, and because I don’t have carpet in my house or office, I like them much better. Also, if Otto or a large foster dog gets one stuck in a corner, because it is made of a soft plastic, he or she can always pick it up and start again in a better location. Dogs often need help retrieving the hard plastic balls when they get stuck somewhere. This is the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball. It’s made of a soft, rubbery material. You pour kibble and/or treats into the hole at the top, and it takes a dog a good long time to get the treats and/or kibble out. They have to knock it around and toss it; chewing it doesn’t really do any good – unless they are the destructive kind of chewer, in which case, this treat-dispensing toy is not appropriate for them! But for dogs who have the persistence needed to work this sort of toy, and who don’t chew toys up, this is a really great time-consuming, fun thing.I have a few treat balls to keep and busy, but the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball has a few features that make it a favorite here. Unlike many of the other toys that dispense , the Tricky Treat Ball is soft rubber – it doesn’t make a horrible noise while rolling across the floor and it isn’t hard enough to damage anything in your house (or your teeth!). The surface of the ball has many little indents, to make it easier for your to pick up the toy and carry it around. You can insert your dogs favorite or kibble into the hole in the ball and watch as he tries to figure out how to get it all out. We give our dog his breakfast kibble in the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball when we leave every morning and he loves it. It’s a great way to add some enrichment to his time alone. I would definitely go for the large though, it can hold 2 cups of kibble. The Tug-a-jug is another good option.Omega Paw, Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets dog and cat products.
