Review 1 of SmartCat Peek-A-Prize Cat Toy Box
Cats are natural hunters, curious, playful, and delightful most of the time. However, there are times when your kitty can become bored and then you had better watch out. Whether people realize it or not, cats do not forget like elephants and they do not act the same as dogs. If you leave a dog at home while you go to work, you will probably come home to a giant mess. With a cat, they normally wait to get revenge. They will not just make a mess all through the house, but they will go after your items when they get mad. If you do not believe me, then you do not know your cat very well. I am still looking for my favorite ink pen I left at my computer desk.
The reason cats do these kind inappropriate things is because they are bored, they are mad at you for leaving them, or sometimes they are just very curious. The way to combat this behavior is to have toys for them to play with. But, not all toys will give them what they need to feel like hunters. This Peek-A-Prize Toy Box will give hours of fun.
Cats have an instinctual desire to watch cracks and crevices, especially when they know that something is hiding just beyond their sight. The Peek-a-Prize Toy Box is designed to build on your cat's instinct by partially hiding some of your cat's favorite toys, and your cat will go crazy fishing them out! Peek-a-Prize is especially great for those times when you have to leave your cat home alone, because this toy will keep your cat occupied for hours. Rotate the toys in the box so they are always digging for something different, and for extra fun, put a few food treats inside! Measures 13.5" square. Free toy included.

The great thing about this toy is that I can put a variety of his tiny toys, or cat treats, inside the box to brighten up his day. I also like the sturdy wood design – good for kitties with claws! A wonderful toy!”We cat owners know that there's no surefire way to know whether our finicky furballs are going to take to a new toy, or eschew it in favor of the box it came in. Which leads me to one of the reasons I was drawn to the : not only does it come equipped with two multi-colored foam balls, but you can use it with toys that are already tried, tested, and beloved. The concept is simple. Peek-A-Prize is a swiss cheese-esque box that challenges cats to liberate objects from within its hole-y walls.“Sophie has been playing with her Peek-a-Prize Toy Box daily. Thank you for offering a product that gives her interest and fun! I am learning to give her more interesting things to do to distract her from some of the destructive scratching habits that she has previously engaged in.”The verdict? As an activity that will hold their prolonged interest (without requiring your involvement), it's ok—but I wish it presented more of a challenge to them. I imagine that younger felines still working on their paw-eye coordination would get more play time out of it than adult cats. In the end, though, I found the Peek-A-Prize Toy Box to be a great way to give your cats their toys and treats by posing the initial challenge of having to remove them from the box first. This, no doubt, is more stimulating (and perhaps rewarding?) for them than simply being handed goodies over on a silver platter. Also, as it's made of wood, it's not too shabby looking, so it won't be an eyesore if left out on the living room floor. That said, if your cats' favorite toys and treats fit inside the Peek-A-Prize, you should find this attractive, sturdy, and reasonably-priced toy box a worthwhile buy.
